This week join Tom Waugh as he explores the various ways to use gimbals for camera movement.
Tom is the co-founder of Ignite Digi, an award winning Hobart based manufacturer and camera movement team that started back in 2014. Originally started to offer high end drone operations in Tasmania, it’s been a constant evolution to now find themselves with a warehouse full of CNC milling machines and a worldwide market for their products. Tom’s technical knowledge and skills have been the driving force behind working on set in the role of cinematographer, camera operator and camera assistant. Tom’s credits cross commercials, TV series and feature films. He studied TV/Film at Rosny college (2006-08) and then a Graduate Diploma in Cinematography at AFTRS in 2010 where he was the inaugural winner of the Jan Kenny ACS award for Professionalism.
