Ros Walker - Deputy Chair

Ros Walker is an experienced producer, film advocate and teacher. Ros’ current slate includes three feature documentaries; Into the Deep, a Netflix film about the Danish submarine murderer, which premiered at Sundance 2020 and Everybody’s Oma and Splice Here: A Projected Odyssey, both in post-production. She is developing a website/film project about centenarians and the documentary series The Shaman and the Stones. Ros produced the documentary Portrait, teenage telemovie Baby Bath Massacre, feature film Peaches, short films Shoelace (screened in over 46 kid’s film festivals) and Mr Electric (AFI winner Best Short Film) and the web-series Sex or Breakfast, which has received over 2m views. Her line-producing credits include the feature documentaries Not Quite Hollywood (AFI Award for Best Doco) and Jabbed - Love, Fear and Vaccines, the kid’s comedy series You’re Skitting Me, S2 and the feature film Big Mamma’s Boy.Ros has also produced and executive produced many short films and documentaries, and production-managed several low budget feature films.
Ros’ industry roles include Director of Screen Production at FTI (Film and Television Institute) in WA, Lecturer in Producing at the VCA School of Film and TV and Manager of Film Victoria. She taught regularly for AFTRS, Open Channel and FTI. Ros has been a member of the Victorian Working Party, SPA Victorian Chapter Head and board member for WIFT (Women in Film and Television) Victoria and Melbourne Fringe.
