Silver Screen August 29 - Mary Meets Mohammad

August 29 Silver Screen is Mary Meets Mohammad:  Mary Meets Mohammad follows the arrival of Tasmania’s first detention centre through the eyes of local Christian woman and knitting club member Mary and Muslim Afghan Hazara asylum seeker Mohammad, who is detained inside the centre – as they connect through the gift of a knitted beanie.

We're very fortunate to have Heather Kirkpatrick - Director/Producer of this wonderful film - attend a post-screening Q&A.

Director/Producer/Camera/Sound: Heather Kirkpatrick
Duration: 81 mins

Silver Screen is a curated program of iconic and important Australian films screening every month in the comfortable theatre at 6 Washington Street in South Hobart. With support from the City of Hobart, Wide Angle Tasmania presents these films for free to those aged 50 and over.

It’s a great opportunity for audiences to access Australian film, meet other film lovers and hear from the actors, directors and producers at a post film Q&A.
