Initiatives

Each year Wide Angle Tasmania runs special initiatives to help Tasmanian screen practitioners to make, learn and watch.

An ongoing initiative is WAT SHARES - a time bank for Tasmanian filmmakers to trade their skills and experience.  Check it out here.

Every month in 2018 we're screening an iconic Australian film through SilverScreen - a curated programme for those aged 50 and over.  More info here.

For production opportunities, check out NERVE - each year Wide Angle provides Tasmanian screen practitioners with their first shot at production.

END GAME is a 3 month programme of goal-setting, peer support, coaching and reflection designed to help you transform your great idea into action.  Applications for Round 2 (starting October 2018) will open soon.

The Washington Residency provides Tasmanian screen practitioners with the opportunity to concentrate on their screen project or screen business for a period of between one and three months.  Applications for 2019 residencies will be advertised in October.

WATCHMAKERS is Wide Angle Tasmania's programme for 12-25 year olds.  WATCHMAKERS learn skills to make great screen stories, watch excellent films and share their work with audiences around Tasmania.  Sign up here for more info.
