iGEN Cinema is a specially curated programme of films for pre-schoolers and their carers. Screening throughout the year at the Wide Angle Screen Centre in South Hobart, the programme is designed to introduce little ones to the big screen in a kid-friendly space. The lights will be dim and little ones can sit where they like, move around or play with a toy while the films plays.
With support from the City of Hobart, Wide Angle Tasmania presents each screening for free. Please BYO cushion, toys and snacks. Some refreshments will be available at the venue.
It’s a great opportunity for carers to enjoy a film and introduce their little ones to the pleasure of stories on the big screen. All donations made at the door will support Wide Angle to continue our work developing, supporting and encouraging Tasmanian filmmakers in 2019.
We launched the programme in March 2019 with a beautiful film called 'Babies', and have continued to deliver a variety of films for children throughout the year. Click through for more details. All screenings start at 10.30am
