This months Friday Freelancer we’re excited to present an ‘In Conversation’ with Filmmaker Molly Reynolds, who co-wrote and directed ‘My Name is Gulpilil’. An engaging documentary film about the life of celebrated Australian actor David Gulpilil.
‘My Name is Gulpilil’ is now available to stream (free) from ABC iView.
This ‘In Conversation’ will be hosted by Sharon Connolly who has more than 30 years of diverse experience in the Australian screen sector.
All welcome! Non-alcoholic drinks and wine/beer/cider will be available.

About Molly Reynolds…
Molly is an Australian producer, screenwriter and director, best known for the 2021 documentary My Name is Gulpilil about acclaimed actor and dancer David Gulpilil. She wrote and directed Another Country in 2015, and co-wrote and co-directed the single-person ShoPaapaa in 2020. Many of Reynolds' works are on the subject of Indigenous Australians' experience, which began as a "happy accident" as her partner Rolf de Heer began work on the 2006 film Ten Canoes.

Sharon has more than 30 years experience in the Australian screen sector as a writer, script editor, director, producer, manager and mentor. She has worked in film, television and digital media, in drama, documentary and educational production. Sharon is currently a Wide Angle Board member.
