Flickerfest 2017 - March 30th

Opening night, Thursday 30th March at 6.30pm we are presenting the Best of International Shorts programme, featuring the endearing ‘A Girl Needs a Bike’ by Tassie filmmakers Vivien Mason & Letitia Lamb. This whimsical animated documentary shows how ‘bicycling brings joy to a new teacher and independence to her students’. As a special treat Vivien will be attending to introduce her film.
Other highlights include: Academy® Nominated Spanish love story ‘Timecode’ and quirky animation ‘OS Love’ from Switzerland, that dives in the absurd realm of screensavers and desktop backgrounds. The Best of International programme will be followed by an after party with complimentary nibbles & drinks from some of our generous festival partners.
