Features the endearing ‘A Girl Needs a Bike’ by Tassie filmmakers Vivien Mason & Letitia Lamb. This whimsical animated documentary shows how ‘bicycling brings joy to a new teacher and independence to her students’. Also screening are winner of the Flickerfest 2017 Yoram Gross Award for Best Australian Animation, ‘Fish With Legs’, voiced by Frank Woodley and Barry Otto, this (fish)tale tells of a school of fish suddenly waking up with a pair of newly grown legs; winner of the Flickerfest 2017 Media Super Award for Best Screenplay, ‘The Eleven O’Clock’, written by and starring Josh Lawson as a psychiatrist who gets a visit from a somewhat unusual patient one morning; and ‘MESSiAH’, a playful collision of cultures in the Australian wilderness, starring David Gulpilil and written and directed by Underbelly star Damian Walshe-Howling.
