Madeline is reaching middle life. She is disconnected from her husband and when her mother in law dies, she is thrown into a child-like state of ‘wanting’.  Haunted by her past and hunted down by the bear she created decades earlier, Madeline finally stops running and returns to the place where fear is a wonder.
