The Beachtek DXA-5D lets you input professional-quality audio into your digital SLR when shooting video. It also allows you to adjust volume levels on each track, bypassing the DSLR's automatic gain control. Two line outputs, including one for headphones, allow you to monitor audio or divert it into a separate recorder, while 48V phantom power means you can use professional condenser mics that require power to operate.  Requires 1 x 9 volt battery (not supllied)

Also available is the Beachtek DXA-2T that allows you to connect professional microphones with balanced XLR connectors to any camcorder with a mic jack. You can also easily connect wireless microphones and mixing boards.  This is unpowered.
