Abbott, Sarah
Sarah is a highly experienced writer and producer of science and nature based television, who worked as a producer for Network Ten in Melbourne for almost seven years. During this time Sarah wrote and produced:
- more than 670 stories for Network Ten's internationally award-winning children's science program, Scope
- more than 80 stories for Network Ten's animal and adventure program, Totally Wild
- one feature length documentary, about the impacts of urbanisation on nature in Australia.
She is currently employed with Southern Cross Austereo, and working part time as an independent freelance videographer. She aspires to write and produce high end nature and environmental documentaires in Tasmania and further afield.
Sarah is an experienced screen writer with creative flair, who is well equipped to construct concise, clear and powerful scripts on a wide range of subjects, particularly those related to science or nature (she has a Biological Sciences degree and a Masters in Science Communication).
Sarah is an equally accomplished producer, having extensive experience in planning and coordinating shoot logistics, working with crews, liaising with public relations staff, field producing talent, sourcing file and supplied vision plus equipment and props, creating rough-cut edits of projects and working with graphics teams and editors.
