Do you WATCH films? MAKE films? Sign up to WATCHMAKERS and connect with other young Tasmanians who share your interests.
WATCHMAKERS is Wide Angle Tasmania's programme for 12-25 year olds. WATCHMAKERS learn skills to make great screen stories, watch excellent films and share their work with audiences around Tasmania.
As part of National Youth Week 2017, WATCHMAKERS can get involved with two great projects right now.
Do you want to learn how to run a film festival and develop the skills to select films that audiences will love? We're calling now for 16-25 year olds to join our small team to work together over the next few months to stage the screen exhibition and showcase 'WAT's YOUR Story'? If you are keen to learn skills in curating screening programmes, exhibition and distribution, and event management - we'd love to hear from you. We'll be meeting in May to kick this project off!

In November 2017 there will be a statewide exhibition of films by Tasmanians aged 12-25. Across Tasmania, films will be exhibited in restaurants, supermarkets, schools and anywhere else we can display a poster with a QR code that audiences that scan to watch your film on their phone. To be part of this mass celebration of films that explore the issues, ideas and views that are important to you, let us know you're keen and we'll get in touch once the call for applications open. A team of WATCHMAKERS will select some of the films to be showcased at a screening in Hobart in November.
