Wide Angle Tasmania works to create a vibrant screen culture in Tasmania.  We are a not-for-profit organisation that nurtures local talent by providing advice, training, access to film production equipment and production initiatives. With over 800 members, WAT also offers a vibrant screening programme throughout the year. This iconic film festival is on again THIS SUNDAY! 

It's FREE and a great way to kick back under the stars, enjoy some great short films with your friends.

It all kicks off at 7pm with a screening of locally produced films from 2010/2011, followed by the live cross to Sydney for the final 16 films around 8pm.

National Youth Week are teaming up with The Hobart City Council, Wide Angle Tasmania, Village Cinemas Hobart and YouthBeyondBlue to run a series of workshops for young people interrested in filmmaking.  Rose Schramm will lead the Hobart workshop, which will focus on developing strong visual storytelling and the development of technical and creative skills – using our professional camera, sound and lighting gear.

In partnership with Screen Tasmania, Wide Angle Tasmania will lead you through the documents you’ll need to put together a funding application that showcases your ideas in the best possible light. 
Suitable for narrative documentary and drama proposals, this 3 hour workshop covers the following:
• Story basics – what is a synopsis, treatment and script?
• Marketing strategy - what to consider
• Budgeting basics

Industry Forum - AIDC 2012
