Graham Gates - Chair

Graham Gates has been Chair of Wide Angle Tasmania since incorporation on January 13th 2005. Graham is the Director of the Rosny College television production course and is a highly respected film teacher with a background in commercial television. He has held many roles across numerous organizations including Lecturer in Television Journalism at the University of Tasmania, State Moderator in Media for the Tasmanian Department of Education, VET Co-ordinator for Television Tasmania, Board Member of Edge Radio and he is a former Board member of Screen Tasmania . Graham has been a passionate supporter of screen training initiatives for decades, and was a founding member of the project Mobile Media Access Facility which evolved into Wide Angle Tasmania. Qualifications Member of the ACS (Australian Cinematographers Society) Other Accredited Vocational Education Trainer & Co-ordinator for Television Author of the TCE Media Production C Syllabus, the TCE Pre-tertiary Media Production Industry Syllabus and T.C.E. courses in Television & Video. Finalist in ATOM Awards 2004 for Best Music Video
